Dan Sim was on target twice as Rhyl fought back from two-down to celebrate an opening weekend victory at Gwydir Park.
The Rwsters got off to a flyer in Sunday’s tussle, Conor Davies putting them ahead on 14 minutes with a thunderous finish from the right side of the box.
In the 26th minute, Davies struck again when he brought the ball down and fired past keeper Sam Thomas.
Right on half time, Sim pulled one back for the Lilywhites to make it 2-1 at the break.
In the 56th minute it was all-square when Alex Jones dispatched a great header from a Sim corner.
Visitors coach Andy Wilmot was shown a red card on 70 minutes as the game heated up.
In the 75th minute, United were down to 10 after substitute Seydou Bamba from the Ivory Coast was sent off.
Sim completed the turnaround for the Lilies when he made it 3-2 on 83 minutes and before the end sub Aaron White bagged number four.
Rhyl also had debutant Mark Roberts, formerly of Denbigh Town fame, dismissed a minute into added time for a second yellow.
Quite an eventful game!
Marc Evans made a stunning third league debut for Llangefni as he struck four goals in an away hammering of Hawarden.
Island legend Evans, who has notched more than 400 goals in a career which has seen him play at every level of the pyramid, recently returned to the club he last represented in 2010/11 and before that played in Town’s 2009/10 Cymru Alliance title-winning season.
Cefni began their 2023-24 campaign with a bang at Gladstone Playing Fields, Jack Smith giving them a third-minute lead through a 25-yard half-volley.
In the 12th minute Evans, popularly known as Logs, brought the ball down smartly and smashed it into the top corner.
It was Evans again in the 20th minute as he latched onto a fantastic through ball from Smith and finished clinically.
Two minutes into the second half it was time to celebrate another Logs hat-trick, the striker chasing down the keeper before winning the ball and finding the net.
Smith squared to set up Evans for his fourth and Llangefni’s fifth before Steve Chiocchi grabbed one back for Rangers.
Iwan Sawicz and new signing John Littlemore added further goals for Cefni before the end.
Many fans afterwards commented they had witnessed one of Llangefni’s finest performances in a number of seasons. The way the visitors passed the ball so efficiently on a difficult surface was something to behold.
Jay Richardson and Cameron Thomas scored two apiece as Brickfield came out on top in an eight-goal cracker at Clwyedog Park.
Isaac Dawson also struck for the Brickie, Kane Roberts, Noa Hughes and Scott Hughes replying for newly-promoted Pesda.
Hayden Hughes popped in a great goal in added time to earn Saltney a commendable point at Y Morfa.
Dan Evans gave Boro a 25th minute lead, Hughes levelled on 27, but Sean McCaffery looked to have won it for the Tangerines when he converted an 89th minute spot-kick.
Not so, the battling Bordermen, and Hughes in particular, had other ideas.
Ashley Owen (penalty), Aled Williams, Sion Jones and substitute Cai Morgan delivered the goals that sealed the points for Vale over tier 3 new boys Llannefydd.
Sam Jones and Tom Jones responded for the hosts.
A magnificent first-minute finish from the right side of the box from Dylan Summers-Jones was enough to secure all three points for Hotspur over promoted Saints.
Kyle Murphy delivered a deep cross from the left, Summers-Jones brought the ball down, took a touch and thundered a right-footer past keeper Luke Jones.
Goalkeeper Morgan Jones made an impressive return to Pwllheli in his team’s 2-0 success over Felinheli.
Jones, who rejoined Pwll this summer from Porthmadog, produced some fine saves as the visitors gave it their best to record some goals.
However, it was the hosts who found the net twice to bank a victory on their return to tier three, Steffan Toplis scoring on 11 minutes and the evergreen Carl Jones adding a second after 56.
