Ynys Môn will meet Bermuda in the semi-finals of the men’s 2023 Island Games football competition on Thursday (6.30 pm kick-off).
In the other semi, Jersey will take on Isle of Wight.
All four semi-finalists topped their groups with 100 percent records.
Ynys Môn completed a fantastic Group 2/B campaign today with a 2-1 victory over Isle of Man, courtesy of two Liam Morris goals.
The Manx men had led through Josh Ridings’ fourth-minute strike and soon after they won a penalty but Anglesey keeper Carl Jones saved Brody Patience’s kick.
Morris applied two clinical left-foot finishes in the 11th and 44th minutes to clinch a third win for Mel McGinness’ side, who previously defeated Shetland Islands 2-0 and Falkland Islands 5-1.
In their group, Bermuda beat Froya 7-0, Orkney 2-1 and Greenland 3-2.
