For the second season in a row Rosie Hughes of Wrexham AFC Women is the North Wales Goalden Girl.

The 27-year-old striker struck 42 goals in all competitions across 19 matches during 2022-23.

This adds to the 48 times she netted in 21 games in 2021-22, making it 90 goals in 40 appearances since joining the Red Dragons in summer 2021.

Rosie was a key figure in the Wrexham side which won the Genero Adran North title with a perfect 12-0 record this season, as well as clinching promotion to the Tier 1 Adran Premier following a 1-0 play-off victory over Briton Ferry Llansawel.

Her 24 league goals made her leading markswoman across the Adran Leagues.

Second in the Goalden Girl standings was Kirstie Kural, who hit 33 goals from midfield for Connah’s Quay Nomads, where she notched 26 in 2021-22. Kirstie inspired Nomads to runners-up spot in the Genero Adran North and lifted the NEWFA Challenge Cup on May 21 on what will be her farewell appearance for the club.

Leading the way for the tier 3 North Wales Women’s League in third place overall is Jen Cox of Llangefni Town, who reached the 30 goals mark with a final game hat-trick at Llanfairfechan.

She also won the NWWFL golden boot for her 28 goals.
