Nomads made ultra sure of runners-up spot in the 2022-23 Genero Adran North with an emphatic win at Nantporth Stadium tonight.

Even had they lost this evening, the Deesiders were pretty certain of second place anyway on goal difference, but the 4-0 victory at last season’s champions meant the task was completed in style.

Minus key players Jasmin Dutton and Ffion Owen, as well as the injured contingent who have been out for some time, Tudno were always likely to struggle against a Quay team which travelled with a strong squad and has excelled all season.

The Nomads proved on Sunday, in front of 9,511 fans at the Racecourse, that they were right up there on a par with new league champions Wrexham, who needed a late goal to secure a 2-1 success.

Tegan Hewitt, an impressive substitute at the weekend, scored twice in the first half, while Kylie Jones was also on the mark.

Llinos Hughes added a fourth for the visitors late in the second half.

Llandudno have one league game left – at home to Llanfair this Sunday.

Both Tudno and Nomads could still both end up with silverware through the NWCFA and NEWFA Challenge Cups, which they are the respective holders of.
