Flint Town United Ladies have made a top-class addition to their squad.
Jennifer Haynes, 21, has joined the Silkwomen from Genero Adran North side Connah’s Quay Nomads.
Former Connah’s Quay High School student Jennifer, joined the Nomads when they formed at the start of 2019-20.
She could hardly have made a better start, notching a debut hat-trick in a 12-0 win over fellow newcomers Holywell.
Jennifer went on to score twice in a 6-2 Welsh Cup victory at Llanberis.
The attacking player was part of the Quay squad which finished runners-up in North Wales League Division Two and made the Welsh Cup semis, defeating Cymru Premier side Port Talbot in the last eight.
Their semi-final against Swansea City never went ahead due to Covid bringing a premature end to the season.
Jennifer remained with the Deesiders in 2021-22, their first season in tier 2 Genero Adran North, where they finished in third place. She made nine appearances in all competitions.
This season she had netted six goals for the club – four first team and two under-19’s – before deciding on a new challenge at Flint.
The Silkwomen are in their debut campaign in senior football and have picked up some encouraging results in the North Wales League, recording four wins so far.
Flint can only benefit from signing someone of the quality of Jennifer Haynes.
