RHYL AND DISTRICT SUNDAY LEAGUE – REPORT, JANUARY 8

Rhyl Rangers 1 Y Clwb 3

Just the one match was played in the Rhyl and District League last Sunday.

The game produced a good win for Y Clwb from Glan Conwy, although hosts Rhyl Rangers were much improved.

In defending their goal, Rangers put bodies on the line and the team as a whole displayed good passion.

Rhyl took the lead with a lovely run and finish from Martin King, but were pegged back moments before half time when Tyler Griffiths equalised.

Y Clwb were the better team in the second half, but Rangers were awarded a penalty 20 minutes from time which unfortunately for them was missed.

After that, the hosts must have felt their chance of winning had gone.

Two goals in the last 15 from John Blundell and Maxie Williams sealed the win for Clwb

However, many positives to take for Rangers.

Assist for Rhyl Rangers
Tom Dodd
Man of the match

REQUEST

I’m still struggling to find access to fixtures, scores, goal scorers and a table for the league.

I have tried to download the App several times with no success. If anyone could help me get the league info every Sunday it would be a help. With only 3 games maximum every weekend, I’d imagine it wouldn’t be too time consuming. Many thanks.
