Ashley Seddon (Llanrwst United to Bow FC)

Seddon, 25, plays wing or striker and his other previous clubs include Conwy Borough, Glan Conwy and Colwyn Bay.

Manager of North Wales Coast East Division One club Bow, James Benbow, said: “Signing Sedds is a great coup for us. He’s someone we’ve been to watch this season and when we watched him and he scored against Rhyl 1879 (in a 3-1 defeat back in August), we knew he was someone that would help take Bow to the next level in our promotion push.

“Having Sedds and the ability he has will defo help with our plans for this and next season and we’re made up he chose to come over and sign for the mighty Bow FC.”

And the new man Ashley himself said: “I feel like Bow FC will be a new challenge for me which I am buzzing to get started and hopefully help the lads get the right results and push for promotion.”

Chris Jones (to Holyhead Hotspur)

Chris Jones has returned to Holyhead Hotspur, whom he last played for in the 2019/20 season.

Jones, 35, originally from Pwllheli, began the 2022-23 campaign with Bodedern Athletic.

He started his career as a youth/trialist at Wrexham and Leeds United, where he was on the fringes of the first team squad which competed in the Football League Championship in 2004-05.

Chris also had a spell on loan at AFC Bournemouth before League of Ireland side Limerick signed him up early in 2005-06.

The start of the following season saw Chris have a short stint at Colwyn Bay, but he soon moved to Welsh Premier club Caernarfon Town.

In 2007-08, the attacking-midfielder signed for Llangefni Town, who were to last just the one season in the WPL.
Chris spent the next two campaigns at Porthmadog before they too lost national league status.

The 2010-11 season saw the beginning of the most productive period of Chris’ career as he joined Bangor City.

He scored in both legs, including a dramatic late winner in the second, as City knocked FC Honka of Finland out of the Europa League in July 2010.

Bangor went on to win the Welsh Premier League title that season, with Chris a key player. He went on to feature in 175 WPL matches for the Citizens, scoring 37 goals.

In total, he has played in 297 Welsh Premier games and netted 56 times.

The 2016-17 season saw Chris return to Porthmadog in the tier 2 Cymru Alliance.

In 2017, he switched to Holyhead Hotspur, where he was top-scorer in 2019-20 with 17 goals for a team which lifted the tier 3 Welsh Alliance League title and regained Cymru North status.

Last season, Chris landed at Bangor 1876 and notched 18 goals as the fan-owned club earned promotion to tier 3.

A Welsh Under-19 and U-20 international, Bodedern became the 12th club of his career this season.

Gerwyn Williams (Dolgellau AA to Porthmadog)

Gerwyn, 19, is a striker who joined Port in January 2023 from Dolgellau AA, where he was a regular goalscorer.

This season he had netted 17 goals in 16 games for tier 3 Ardal North East club The Wasps (Dolgellau’s nickname) before his move.

Last term he struck 12 goals in 21 outings for the Cae Marian outfit.

Port manager Craig Papirnyk said: “Gerwyn is a raw and rare talent, a hard working centre-forward who has proven he can score goals with an impressive record at Dolgellau. I am looking forward to seeing him on the Traeth.”

Haci Ozlu (Holywell Town to Mold Alexandra)

Picture: Mold Alex FC – many thanks

This exciting 21-year-old with an eye for goal rejoins Mold Alexandra after a spell with Holywell Town.

Hailing from Turkey, Haci first made an impact in the 2021-22 season with Brickfield Rangers, scoring 19 goals in 21 games plus providing eight assists in the tier 3 Lock Stock Ardal North East.

Summer 2022 brought a move to Mold Alex, where he played just six matches for the club newly-promoted to tier 2 Cymru North, scoring once.

Haci switched to another Cymru North club, Holywell Town, at the end of August. He featured in 10 games for the Wellmen, netting a cracker in a Welsh Cup win over Llanuwchllyn.

Mold announced this week that the player had rejoined them.

Anthonio Zoezee (Abergele to Conwy Borough)

Talented and highly popular player makes the jump from tier 5 to tier 2.

Ant was part of the dynamic Abergele side which won the North Wales Coast Division One title last season and is also top of the same table in this current campaign.

This attacking player, who hails from Sweden, struck 13 goals in all competitions for Gele in 2021-22 and this season had netted eight times in 11 matches.

In September, Ant signed for Rhydymwyn, then in tier 3, and scored on his debut, but later the same month the club unfortunately folded and the player returned to Abergele.

Now he leaps to tier 2, where his qualities should be of big benefit to Conwy Borough of Cymru North.

Frankie Davies (Rhyl All Stars to CPD Y Rhyl 1879)

Nineteen-year-old left winger/striker returns to 1879 after an impressive spell with Rhyl All Stars in tier 5.

After beginning his senior career with St Asaph City in 2019-20, Frankie was part of the CPD Y Rhyl 1879 squad which won the North Wales Coast East Premier Division title as invincibles last season, featuring in 11 league games.

All Stars were delighted to sign him in August 2022 and Frankie went on to score six goals in 10 matches for Robert Cunnah’s side before tier 3 Ardal North West high-flyers Rhyl 1879 re-signed him.

Dan Roberts (Airbus to Connah’s Quay Nomads)

Connah’s Quay are delighted to announce the signing of 22 year-old defender, Dan Roberts from local rivals Airbus.

Bodelwyddan-born Roberts joins the Nomads having previously been a part of its scholarship programme back in 2017/18.

During his formative years, Roberts spent a lot of time at Rhyl and Llandudno Junction and has previously worked under Neil Gibson through spells at Prestatyn Town and Flint Town United.

In his time at Flint, Dan scored a stunning volley against Bala in March to earn a place on the 2021/22 Goal of the Season shortlist.

Roberts joined Airbus in July and was a regular in their side during the early part of the season playing at either right back or centrally across the defence before severely injuring his shoulder during a match at Pontypridd.

Ashley Lavender (Conwy Borough to Llandudno Albion)

Albion’s latest goalkeeper made his debut in last night’s 2-0 league defeat at Denbigh Town.

Ashley Lavender, 21, has good pedigree, having also played for Mochdre Sports and Llandudno FC Under-23’s before joining Conwy Borough at the start of this season.

He started for Boro in their August home loss to Llandudno in Cymru North, then after that mainly featured for Conwy reserves.

Albion manager Karl Cheung said: “A much needed signing to say the least having had outfield players playing in goal for the last few months. We’ve had some rotten luck with our goalkeeper situation this year with three signed on, but a mixture of injury and personal issues that are a lot bigger than football preventing them playing.

“So this signing is huge and we are excited to welcome Ash, who is relishing the challenge.”

Mike Jones (Airbus UK Broughton to Colwyn Bay)

Colwyn Bay have added a top quality third goalkeeper to their squad.

The unbeaten Cymru North leaders have signed Mike Jones from Airbus UK Broughton.

Mike joined Airbus UK in June 2022 and made three appearances for The Wingmakers in the Cymru Premier and one Nathaniel MG Cup outing this season.

The 29-year-old spent five years with Guilsfield and last season was named in the Cymru North team of the season.

He has also played for Gresford Athletic, Denbigh Town, Cefn Druids, Prestatyn Town, Caernarfon Town and Holywell Town.

Mike will increase competition for the No 1 jersey with the Seagulls already having Cameron Darling and Ryan Woods in the ranks.

Caio Hughes (CPD Y Felinheli to Porthmadog)

Many thanks Porthmadog for photo and graphic – diolch yn fawr iawn

Caio is an attacking midfielder with an eye for goal. He arrives at Y Traeth from tier 3 Ardal North West club CPD Y Felinheli.

Other former clubs include Llanrug United and Caernarfon Town.

Porthmadog manager Craig Papirnyk said: “Caio is a very talented young player and I am really pleased to have him on board. He’ll bring a lot of energy to the team.”

Caio debuted for Port against Llandudno on Friday, along with another new face, Gerwyn Williams.
