Two teams in fantastic form at present are Connah’s Quay Nomads and Holywell Town.

Both have achieved the perfect 10 – winning 10 matches in a row.

Quay have won 10 in succession across all competitions, while Town’s 10-0 comprises league matches only.

A pretty fantastic feat all-round considering the high levels they play at – Nomads in the tier 1 Cymru Premier and Holywell tier 2 Cymru North.

Both sides sit second in their respective league tables.

Ironically, Nomads’ winning run began with a 1-0 Nathaniel MG Cup success over Holywell.

Let’s take a look at their respective golden streaks…

COMMENT

10 games, 10 wins and just TWO goals conceded. Phenomenal defending.
Veteran strikers Michael Wilde and Mike Hayes, with seven and five goals respectively, have been as sharp as ever.
Neil Gibson should be an absolute cert for Cymru Leagues Manager of the Month for October.

COMMENT

As well as winning 10 league games in a row, Holywell have lost just one of their last 15 in all competitions. All this after taking just a single point out of their first possible nine.
Best win? Surely coming back from 2-0 down at half time to win 3-2 at Porthmadog.
Like with Nomads, the over-30’s are leading the goals charge for Holywell, David Forbes and Danny Sullivan with six apiece in this winning league run.
