Two friends are taking on a mighty challenge to raise funds for a fantastic cause.
Gary Rowlands and Sam Ranshaw from Old Colwyn will run the total equivalent distance of a marathon a day in aid of Happy Faces children’s charity, culminating in the London Marathon on October 2.
Happy Faces supports sick, disabled and disadvantaged children across North Wales.
Since 2003 it has raised over £1 million and provided 12 specially adapted school mini buses, day trips for over 5,000 children and specialist equipment for more than 700 youngsters in North Wales.
Gary and Sam set off from outside the Coast cafe bar and gift shop, Old Colwyn, on Thursday, September 22, their first run a 26.7 mile effort to Ruthin.
They are hoping to raise £10,000 for Happy Faces.
