Rhayader Town 3 Corwen 0

Corwen find themselves rock bottom of Ardal North East with no victory in six attempts after Rhayader triumphed in Saturday’s battle of winless teams at Y Weirglodd.

The first real chance fell to the home side on 13 minutes when Grant Stamp was bearing down on goal, forcing keeper Rhys Jones to come off his line.

Sharp was able to knock the ball around Jones, however debutant Max Pritchard tracked back to recover the situation.

The ball made its way out to Bradley Goodwin, whose effort from the edge of the box pinged wide of the goal.

A Corwen counter saw Morgan Daykin sprint down the wing, where he saw off the sliding challenge of Cameron Mills before crossing the ball into the path of Haydn Grindley, who opted to take a touch before shooting and Kham Steventon saved.

Half-time: 0-0

The opening goal came in the 57th minute, when Stamp’s shot from the edge of the box found the net via a massive deflection.

Corwen tried to rally and were awarded a free kick just off the touchline in the middle of the pitch. Scott Evans floated the ball to Delwyn Jones, who unleashed a shot, which was saved.

From the corner Ryan Billington nodded the ball onto Scott Evans, whose header was kept out by Steventon.

Rhayader went two-up when the visitors were unable to deal with James Thomson’s cross as two players went for the same ball, allowing Goodwin to head into the far corner of the net.

Four minutes later Corwen played the ball out from the back, but lost it in midfield, which allowed Thomson to hoist forward and Mark Jones headed over the oncoming Rhys Jones for 3-0.

Builth Wells 1 Rhos Aelwyd 4

A tremendous win for Rhos took them top of the table, James Rumsey, Thomas Smith, Daniel Roberts and Edward Neale sharing the away goals, Aeron Powell converting a late consolation penalty for Builth.

Llangollen Town 2 Dolgellau AA 5

Thomas Pemberton and Benjamin Wilson put Llangollen two-up in the opening 20 minutes before Dolgellau turned the tables dramatically.

Owain Williams halved the arrears before the break, then the visitors went to town in the second period.

Gerwyn Williams was the star of the show with a hat-trick, while Owain Williams bagged his second.

Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant 2 Cefn Albion 2

Ryan Broadbent equalised two minutes into added time to salvage an unexpected point for Llanrhaeadr.

Broadbent had earlier cut the deficit on 74 minutes after first-half strikes from Callum Mannion and Mike Latham put Cefn in the drivers seat.

However, the picture changed in first half added time, when Mannion and Latham were both sent off, as well as Llan’s Matthew Evans.

Ten played against nine in the second half, and thanks to Broadbent’s double the 10 ended up with a draw.

Brickfield Rangers 2 Saltney Town 2

Andy Vale’s 89th minute leveller secured a point for 10-man Brickfield.

Gerson Silva Neto scored the only goal of the first half for Rangers and it remained 1-0 until Saltney’s Leon Flatman restored parity after 64 minutes.

In a dramatic last few minutes, Elson Bassangue saw red for the hosts on 83, then Sam Henry put Saltney 2-1 up after 84, but Vale’s late reply sealed a split verdict.

With the table having been revised following Rhydymwyn’s resignation, Brickfield are now in top spot.

Nantlle Vale 4 Rhostyllen 3

Former Bangor City and Caernarfon Town player Clive Williams scored on his debut for a Nantlle side whose 4-3 triumph put them top of the table.

Ashley Owen (2) and a Sam Chesters own goal made up the Vale total, while Rhostyllen kept battling and a Jac Lloyd single plus a Taylor Williams double kept them in it.

Owen missed out on a hat-trick for the hosts after he failed from the penalty spot.

Following the table being revised after Rhydymwyn’s resignation from the league, Vale have dropped from first to fifth.
