FIVE North Wales girls make the Genero Adran League Team of the Week

Five North Wales players were included in the Genero Adran Leagues Team of the Week.

Three of them were from LlandudnoLouisha Doran, Mari Gibbard and Maddie Williams – while Katie Sharp and Rosie Hughes of Wrexham were also chosen.

Both Gibbard and Williams notched hat-tricks for champions Tudno in their 8-0 triumph over CPD Y Rhyl 1879.

It was Mari’s second debut for the club, who she previously represented in their Welsh Premier Women’s League days.

Maddie is in her second season with the Maesdu Maidens, for whom she netted a fantastic 32 times last term.

Louisha played at right-back on Sunday, but often joined in the attacks, laying on a pair of goals with two magnificent passes. She is also back at Llandudno after a spell with Chester.

Rosie picked up where she left off with Wrexham, for whom she hit 48 goals in 21 matches across all competitions last season.

On Sunday the No 9 banged in another hat-trick as the Reds romped to a 6-0 win at Llanfair United. Rosie passed the 50 goals mark for the team in just her 22nd appearance.

Katie shone at the back in a solid all-round Wrexham display in which they kept a clean sheet.

The defender made her breakthrough for Wrexham last season and is described on their club website as: “A commanding, tall central defender, she is comfortable on either foot and passes the ball out from the back confidently.”
