Cymru North – leaders Colwyn Bay hit seven, good wins for Mold, Holywell and Port

Mold Alexandra 1 Chirk AAA 0

Promoted Mold sit fifth in the Cymru North after tonight’s close-fought win over fellow tier 2 newcomers Chirk.
A second-minute goal from Sion McHugh separated the sides at full time.
Mold started strongly and it was from a Danny Warren corner that McHugh headed in from close range to give the Alex an early lead.
Although Chirk got back into the game and had most possession, they never really created any chances in the first half.
The second period saw much of the same but Mold looked the more dangerous and went close on several occasions.
Joey Ormrod’s powerful shot was tipped onto the bar by Mark Richards, who also produced a great stop to deny Will Nevitt.
Both sides went looking for goals in the last 10 minutes and it brought an exciting end with Chirk pushing for the equaliser and Mold hitting on the break.
However, there was no further score.

Buckley Town 2 Conwy Borough 2

All-square at The Globe, where Buckley lost their 100% home record while Conwy remain without a win but will have been encouraged by taking a point.
Asa Hamilton and Jack Kitchen struck in the first half for the hosts, Macsen Rhys-Williams and Conor Davies replying.

Cefn Druids 1 Colwyn Bay 7

Leaders Colwyn Bay went to town at The Rock, James Kirby scoring two, Stefan Edwards, Joe Williams, Tommy Creamer, Dylan Allshorn (pen) and Matty Hill adding one each, while Joshua Roseberry-Beamond replied for Druids, who had Tom Reilly dismissed for a second yellow on 53 minutes.

Guilsfield 1 Holywell Town 2

Myles Hart and Luke Wiltshire grabbed the goals which clinched maximum points for the Wellmen in an impressive performance, Iwan Matthews hitting back for Guils.

Penrhyncoch 1 Ruthin Town 1

Liam Lewis handed Penrhyncoch a fourth minute lead, but Gwion Owen equalised on 18 and 1-1 was how it stayed.

Porthmadog 2 Prestatyn Town 0

Callum Parry and Meilir Williams delivered the goals which sealed three points for Porthmadog against long-distance travellers Preststyn.
