Triple victors Colwyn Bay move to within a point of North Wales League leaders Bethesda

Colwyn Bay enjoyed a triple victory and maximum 60-point haul to close the gap on North Wales Women’s Cricket League leaders Bethesda down to the bare minimum.

Bay are now just a point behind Pesda with the same amount of games played after beating Carmel twice and Northop once on Sunday.

Put into bat, Colwyn amassed 142-3 off their 16 overs, Amy Kennedy and Kerry Roberts adding 15 apiece and Jane Smith 12.
Haf Morgan-Read took 2-16 for Carmel, who hit 86-9 in reply.
Morgan-Reed stood out with 32 (twice out = 22), while Hannah Kennedy completed a tremendous match with 4-6 and Kerry Roberts bagged 3-13 for the winners.
