Kinmel Bay Reserves 7 Llanrug United Reserves 3

A 10-goal spectacular saw Kinmel Bay Reserves produced another dynamic performance to progress to the semi-finals at the expense of Llanrug.

Within 3 minutes the Bay were two up through Tyler Prime and Mason Richards, both goals starting from free kicks in the Llanrug half.

The score shifted to 3-0 when Declan Bellamy scored in the 17th minute.

The 37th minute saw Anthony Jones’ first goal of three, this one assisted by Callum Foster.

Close to the end of the first half, Llanrug’s Sion Parry opened the visitors’ account and just on the break Richards missed a Bay penalty.

Half-time: 4-1

Sam Griffiths, assisted by Sion Evans, added a goal for United shortly into the second half and when Ethan Kiernan struck in the 55th minute, the Caernarfon area travellers were just one behind.

Order was restored by the hosts when a few minutes later Anthony Jones completed a double, and his third goal came in the 80th from a blistering free kick.

Tyler Oakley-Evans made it 7-3 when he was assisted by player-manager Will Hughes in the 83rd minute.

Although a few yellow cards were issued the match was clean with Llanrug losing Alex Lynes to a second caution in the 79th minute.

Will Hughes summarised: “We played Llanrug a few weeks ago in the league, that was a tough game, so we knew what we were up against. Now building on last week against Llanberis we are through to the semi-finals; our fitness and formation are working.”

Kinmel Bay Reserves: Robert Hughes, Mike Williams (William Hughes 61), Tyler Oakley-Evans, Cole Rich, Tyler Prime, Mason Richards, Joshua Jones, Jordan Guest (c – Cory Owen 63), Callum Foster (Nathaniel Gibbs 70), Anthony Jones (Harry Woodfine 80), Declan Bellamy (Dillan Roberts 54).
