Substitute Joe Jones 87th minute net-finder clinched a massive win for Holywell in their pursuit of the FAW Reserve League North West title.

Now five points clear with four matches still to play, Karl Bacon’s side made it four league wins on the bounce and eight victories in their last nine outings.

Nathan Williams’ 18th minute goal was enough to provide the Wellmen with a 1-0 half time lead.

Kyle Wilkes made it two in the third minute of the second half, but Llanrwst were far from finished.

Sion Jones halved the deficit on 58 minutes before Dion Lloyd made it all-square after 72.

It was anyone’s game now and both sides made substitutions in a bid to snatch the game.

And in the 87th minute Joe Jones bagged the all-important winner before being red-carded soon after.
