Greenfield 1 FC Queen’s Park 1

Although Greenfield went level on points with leaders Chirk Town after Saturday’s draw, the Holywell area side remain second on goal difference.

Scott Beck’s men were unable to get the win they desired which would have put them top.

As for Queen’s Park, despite missing key players they managed to extend their unbeaten run in all competitions to 15 matches.

The Wrexham team’s task was made all the more difficult with the withdrawals of club captain Curtis Neary and top goalscorer Barry Torrence.

Nonetheless, the Park started like a house on fire and in just the second minute Liam Davies used all his strength to win a free kick in a dangerous position.

Tony Jones whipped in a delightful ball for Davies to leap highest and bullet a header home.

Park maintained the early pressure, but after Greenfield settled they took command.

The home side won a penalty for handball, which Danny Calvert converted.

Both teams had chances in an exciting second half.

Park captain for the day Joey Jones made two unbelievable saves and at the other end Jack Hanley found himself clean through on three occasions but was unable to score.

Callum Roberts delivered a delightful cross that was deflected against the crossbar and it ended one-apiece.

Hawarden Rangers 3 Castell Alun Colts 0

Ryan Tierney (2) and Louis Anglesea secured the win for the hosts over the next-to-bottom side.

New Brighton Villa 2 Mynydd Isa Spartans 1
