Barring a miracle end to the season, no-one will get near Rosie Hughes when it comes to being crowned the 2021-22 North Wales Goalden Girl, but the battle for second place has become a good one.
Llandudno’s Maddie Williams is currently in the runner-up spot on 27 goals, while Connah’s Quay Nomads midfielder Kirstie Kural sits third with 25.
The highest scoring North Wales League markswoman is Candice Nellist of CPD Y Rhyl 1879 on 22 goals, the same total as Genero Adran North strikers Ella Jones and Ffion Wyn Williams.
With still a fair few games to go in the North Wales League, and just a couple of cup ties remaining for some Genero Adran North sides, it is reasonable to expect the eventual second most prolific net-finder for the region will come from the tier 3 NWWFL.
