NORTH WALES COAST WEST LEAGUE DIVISION ONE

Caergybi 4 (Chapman 9, 58 & 78; Bell 70)
Bodorgan 1 (O Jones 47)

Louis Chapman grabbed his sixth hat-trick of the season and boosted his tally to 36 goals in all competitions with a magical display at Millbank.

The Caergybi striker was the stand-out performer in the only game to take place in the North Wales Coast West League today.

Dale Moffat’s side edged up to sixth in Division One with Chapman’s league goals total rising to 29 in just 14 outings.

Playing their first game in five weeks, Caergybi owed a lot to their volunteer pitch workers whose tremendous efforts managed to get the surface fit for play.

Caergybi kicked off with purpose and created two quick chances to score, but the Bodorgan defence held firm until the ninth minute when Chapman netted with a fine finish from the edge of the box.

The striker showed some great footwork before shooting with the assist coming from Dave Webb.

Both sides had opportunities to score but the half time break arrived with the hosts still one-up.

The start of the second half saw Bodorgan fly out of the traps and get the equaliser when Osian Jones benefited from a mix up at the back.

To be fair to Caergybi this seemed to spur them on with Myles Jones and Mike Edwards very influential.

Chapman’s second goal came on the 58th minute. A ball over the defence from Marcus Bell released Chapman to finish in the corner.

Bell produced goal number three himself on 70 minutes with a close range finish, Webb again supplying a great assist.

And to top off a great performance again from the mighty No 10, Chapman got his hat-trick following an assist from Glenn North and a fantastic left foot finish on the 78th minute.

Full credit to both sides for producing an entertaining game on a heavy surface.
