How many footballers mark their birthday by scoring SEVEN goals in a match?

Not many for sure, but that is what Catrin Wyn Thomas achieved five years ago today.

On December 18, 2016, Catrin netted a magnificent seven in Caernarfon Townโ€™s 12-0 win over Prestatyn on her 29th birthday.

Ffion Owen, Sioned Bohana, Natasha Jones, Elena Julio and Danielle Barnfield also scored one apiece.

Catrinโ€™s feat occurred during a tremendous season for Caernarfon which saw them win the North Wales League title and Betty Pickering League Cup double.

Mother-of-two Catrin was top-scorer, netting 38 goals in league and cup in about half that many matches.

As well as notching seven in one game, she pocketed six in another and a couple of fours.

At the end of the season Catrin was presented with the 2016-17 Grassroots North Wales Womenโ€™s Player of the Year award.

The season before, she had played left-back for Llandudno, and scored in the Welsh Cup final.

The sister of Caernarfon Town football legend Darren Thomas, Catrin began playing football aged five and her first team was Cae Glyn under-sevens.

She later played for her school team before joining Caernarfon Town.

As well as playing for Caernarfon and Llandudno in the Welsh Premier, Catrin has also represented Mountain Rangers and this season joined Genero Adran North League club Bethel.

She has always been a tremendous player, highly respected.

Today she celebrates her 34th birthday. Penblwydd hapus Catrin. ๐ŸŽ‚๐ŸŽ‚๐ŸŽ‚๐ŸŽ‚๐ŸŽ‚๐Ÿฅ‚๐Ÿฅ‚๐Ÿฅ‚๐Ÿฅ‚๐Ÿพ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿพ
