ADRAN NORTH

League football takes a back seat this weekend as the eight North/Mid Wales clubs compete in the Adran Trophy.
In Group 1, Pwllheli will look to maintain their excellent form when they host Airbus.
On a high after last weekend’s Welsh Cup success over Llandudno, Pwll won their opening Adran Trophy group game against Wrexham 3-1.
Airbus, meanwhile, lost their first match 4-1 to Llanfair, so the Flintshire side will be anxious to get some reward at the Rec.
Llanfair United are home to Wrexham in a rematch of their Welsh Cup tie at Mount Field three weeks ago, which Mari Edwards’ side won 6-1.
Revenge on the agenda for Llanfair, then.
Group 2 action sees Bethel take on Connah’s Quay Nomads at the San Seilo, while Denbigh are home to Llandudno.
Bethel were trounced 6-1 in their first group fixture at Llandudno, but recovered well to batter Wrexham 8-3 in the league two weeks later.
The maroons will be keen to put one over on Nomads, who already have three group points in the bag after a 6-0 win at Denbigh first time out.
Llandudno will be more than happy to repeat the 7-0 drubbing they imposed on Denbigh in the Welsh Cup on September 19.

NORTH WALES WOMEN’S LEAGUE

Match of the day could well be at Rhyl, where 1879 host leaders CPDM Bangor 1876.
Bangor have won all three league matches so far, but will be without strikers Ceri Lois and Ffion Roberts for the trip to the Denbighshire coast.
CPD Y Rhyl 1879 celebrated a superb 5-1 win at NFA in the Welsh Cup last weekend and won their league opener 1-0 at Northop Hall.
So two in-form sides and a Rhyl v Bangor derby – what more could you want!
Llangefni Town make the long trip to face a Holywell side set to play their first game of the season. Who knows what might happen?
Amlwch Town will target a third win in four when they welcome CPD Merched Tref Caernarfon to Lon Bach.
Northop Hall are home Trearddur Bay, a promising new side who will be hoping to play for the first time in four weeks.
Llanystumdwy, who were beaten 12-0 in their first fixture at Bangor 1876, will aim to some improvement when they host NFA.
