North Wales Road Runner Ian Turner will be running his charity marathon challenge of 26.2 miles along Llandudno Promenade this Sunday October 3rd – beginning at about 8.30am onwards – and welcomes any donations and support.

The master veteran athlete is running this incredible distance as part of the Virtual London Marathon 2021 – and he is fundraising for Breast Cancer Now.

Ian has set a potential target of £1,000 and donations can be made via his JustGiving page. He says he has undertaken this challenge in support of his partner Anna, who is a survivor of Breast Cancer Now, admits the charity needs urgent funding.

He confirmed: “Income for “Breast Cancer Now” has suffered greatly because of the pandemic, and they need to raise vital funds if they are to continue to help and support people with breast cancer, both women and men.

“My partner Anna is a survivor of breast cancer, and with us both being registered volunteers for Breast Cancer Now, we know how important it is to go the extra mile to raise money to help those who find themselves in the same situation we found ourselves in.

“With your help, I am hoping to raise a minimum of £1,000 for ‘Breast Cancer Now’ by running the 2021 Virgin Money Virtual London Marathon on Sunday October 3rd. Any amount of sponsorship would be very much appreciated.

“Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So, it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.”
