North Wales football great Anna Jones has always had it in her to be a poster girl.
And now she’s proved it!
Chester FC Women have chosen their Welsh-speaking midfielder to spearhead a campaign to attract a record crowd to their latest match this weekend.
The blues will take on Salford City Lionesses this Sunday (October 3) in the second qualifying round of the Vitality Women’s FA Cup.
Chester’s women hope to beat their current record crowd for a home match of 174.
The match kicks off at the Deva Stadium at 2 pm on Sunday. Entry is £3 for adults and £1 concessions.
Chester have a strong North Wales contingent in their 2021-22 squad.
As well as former Caernarfon Town and Llandudno ace Anna, the North West Women’s Regional Football League Division 1 South club have recently signed ex-Everton, Llandudno and Wales Under-17 utility player Louisha Doran and forward Becky Lees, who spent many successful years with Airbus UK Broughton.
