Exciting transfer move for prospect Jema

Jema Owen has joined CPDM Bangor 1876

In her first season in football, Jema Owen has been signed up by one of the most talented teams in North Wales.

The 19-year-old is the latest addition to the CPDM Bangor 1876 squad which looks capable of doing very well in the tier 3 North Wales Women’s League this season.

Jema most recently played for Llangefni Town Ladies, where her performances caught the eye.

Bangor 1876 manager Jonny Batten gave his reaction to the new recruit landing at Treborth.

He said: “It’s great to have her on board. Jema is new to the game but already plays like she has been playing for years.

“Comfortable on the ball and good in the tackle, Jema shows great composure and has one hell of an engine.

“If Jema continues to improve like she has started then we have a prospect on our hands who will be one to watch for the future.

“She’s fitted in well with the group and we are certain that Jema will be great addition to the squad and will provide us with additional midfield options.”

Speaking about the move to 1876, Jema commented “This is my first season in football and I am excited to have signed for the team. They have a great squad with really talented players and a lot of experience,

“I’m looking forward to learning off them all. They have a really great set up with Jonny, Aron and Lois and they have made me feel really welcome and I look forward to the season.”
