REPORTS

NORTH EAST WALES LEAGUE PREMIER DIVISION

Greenfield 0
Halkyn & Flint Mountain 2

Goals from Phil Lloyd (pen) and Sam Jones secured all three points for the Mountain at Greenfield.
The visitors took an eighth-minute lead when recent signing Jones, former prolific marksman with Holywell Town, beat his man for pace and was barged to the ground, with the referee pointing to the spot.
Lloyd stepped up and calmly sent the keeper the wrong way to open the scoring.
Greenfield fought back hard and it was against the run of play when the visitors made it 2-0 in the 64th minute
Aled Reece won possession in front of the Greenfield box and the ball ran to Jones, who found the bottom corner.

Coedpoeth United 3
Lex 1

Coedy came out on top in this battle of groundshare rivals at Stansty Park.
United took an 18th minute lead when Lex were trying to play out from the back and a good bit of pressure by Curt Griffiths and Dion Lewis saw the ball drop for Lewis to smash home from close range.
Lex equalised on 35 minutes when a long lofted ball into the box was converted into a goal by David Beeching.
Griffiths missed a penalty, but he later made amends by scoring with a rasping left foot shot driven low into the bottom corner.
Four minutes from time, Lewis made it 3-1. Harry Jones foxed a defender with a quality turn and shot that smacked off the bar for Lewis to tap home.
