PONTBLYDDYN (15) 28-1 BANGOR 2ND XI (0) 27-6

Division One leaders Pontblyddyn picked up their easiest win of the season in a match which took less than 20 overs to complete.

Eight-man Bangor seconds won the toss, chose to bat, and were all out for a paltry 27, losing six wickets with one player not batting.

Rhys Jones gathered 4-12 off seven overs for Pont, Chris Moss 2-11.

The hosts raced to 28-1 off 3.5 overs to seal a 15-0 verdict.

ABERGELE (13) 179-9 DOLGELLAU (2) 123-10

Number eight bat David Holmes’ 47 not out ensured Abergele set a respectable total at home to Dolgellau.

Otherwise, the hosts’ batting effort was a distinctly average affair, extras the next highest scorer on 37.

Jaco Oosthuizen scooped 3-24 and Sam Williams 2-31 for the away side.

David Moulson took 4-21 from 10 and Ben Garnett 2-33 as Dolgellau could only manage 123 all out in response.

HALKYN (13) 196-5 CONNAH’S QUAY (2) 127-10

Undefeated Halkyn made it seven straight wins in completed matches in Division One by seeing off Connah’s Quay at Pant Newydd.

Jamie Griffiths scored a magnificent 101 not out as the hosts concocted 196-5 off 45 overs after being invited to bat.

Alex North and Tim Davies added 25 apiece, Luke Bennett 2-37 for the Deesiders.

Graeme Settle then snared 5-25 and Andrew Watkin 3-22 as the Quay were all returned to the hutch for 127, skipper Tom Hooson 36 and Joshua Clarke 30.

HAWARDEN PARK (15) 122-1 GWERSYLLT PARK (0) 121-10

David Hughes and Rhys Johnson both recorded unbeaten fifties as Hawarden coasted to victory over Gwersyllt.

Opting to bat, the visitors were dismissed for 121, Ian Martin a typically economical 3-10 off 10 overs, Hughes 2-19, Michael Wootton 2-21 and Ryan Wynne 2-32.

Johnson was 56 not out and Hughes 55 no as Hawarden eased to 122-1 in 23.5 overs.

MOLD (14) 85-2 BETHESDA (1) 82-10

Six-wicket star Gareth Davies

Gareth Davies set up Mold for an emphatic win by taking 6-24 against Bethesda.

Electing to bat, Carwyn L Williams (37) was the only double-figure merchant as Pesda were blasted out for 82, John Crane 2-7 off 10 and Richard Crane 2-10 from nine playing outstanding supporting roles to main performer Davies.

After dipping to 3-2, Mold recovered to reach 85 without further loss, John Crane hitting 10 fours in his 58 not out, Duane Williams 19 no.

RUTHIN (13) 196-7 LLANRWST (2) 129-10

Jac Evans (58 no), Dafydd Roberts (41) and Murray Whitehead (32) helped Ruthin set a winning 196-7, Sam Williams 2-30 for the visitors.

Llanrwst were bowled out for 129, Huw Williams 46, Joshua Duckworth 3-6, Harry Pooler 3-28 and Evans 2-24 for the victors.
