Mark Hughes’ Bethesda side made it nine straight wins in friendlies since the manager took over 12 months ago.
Victories in warm-up matches never earn trophies, but they can certainly boost confidence.
Pesda’s latest success was a 5-1 beating of Bro Cernyw, Joe Todd, Kyle Hartleb, the experienced Mike Lundstram, Adrian Roberts and Lewis Dixon sharing the goals.
Hughes, who took charge at Parc Meurig on June 2, 2020, said: “We’re on a good run heading into the season, 9 wins from 9 since taking over but we’re not getting carried away. Hopefully we’ll surprise a few when the season starts next month.”
The manager placed a major emphasis on youth when he took over, but he is also seeking an experienced head or two to help the young lads along.
Thursday night’s goalscorer Lundstram would fit the bill perfectly, but no decision has yet been made on the striker’s future.
