Bethesda ladies win crunch clash and keep 100% record

Hosts Bethesda maintained their 100% record and inflicted a first defeat of the season on Colwyn Bay in the North Wales Women’s Cricket League on Sunday.

Pesda decided to field first and limited the Bay to 83-1 off their 16 overs, making a net score of 278.

Hannah Kennedy (17) and Kerry Roberts (14) top-scored for the visitors, while Elin Pritchard (1-4) claimed the sole wicket to fall.

When Bethesda batted they piled on the runs, amassing 146-4 off their allotted overs for a net score of 326.

Cushia Luxton led the way with 26 off 16 balls, Ellie Creek made 14, Luned Roberts 13 and Emma Jones 11.

Sarah Banham picked up 2-26 for the Bay, Hannah Kennedy and Rachael Simmons a wicket apiece.

Conwy were meant to be the third team in action at Parc Villa, but they conceded both of their games.
