Women’s cricket continues this Sunday

Colwyn Bay ladies are back in action on Sunday

Three games will take place in the second round of matches in the newly-formed North Wales Women’s Cricket League this Sunday.

Northop will host Dolgellau in game one, then the action switches to Halkyn as Dolgellau meet Colwyn Bay and Northop take on the Bay.

Last weekend’s inaugural softball matches saw Clwb Criced Conwy defeat Northop by 17 runs, while Colwyn Bay saw off Llandudno by 76 runs.

Teams start games with 200 runs. They then add the runs they score to the 200 with five taken off for every wicket they lose.

For instance last Sunday, Llandudno started on 200, scored 74-8 = 274 runs, minus 40 for eight wickets lost, net score 234.

Fixtures – Sunday, May 30

Northop v Dolgellau (at Northop)
Dolgellau v Colwyn Bay (at Halkyn)
Northop v Colwyn Bay (at Halkyn)
