Brymbo seek new manager after departure of Dave Roberts

Brymbo Football Club are seeking a new manager following the departure of Dave Roberts and his backroom staff.

Due to a change in Roberts’ personal circumstances, which would restrict his childcare arrangements due to the travelling involved in the Ardal Northern League, it became evident that it would no longer be viable for him to continue his role as first team manager.

A club statement said: “We would like to thank Dave and his team for the fantastic work they did building a new squad as well as the support and work he did off the pitch.

He proved what a sound manager he is picking up some great results, albeit in friendlies, and with limited resources in such a short space of time.

“We would like to wish Dave all the best as he takes up the role as the new Hawarden Rangers manager. They’ll be lucky to have him.”

Former Hawarden Rangers and New Brighton Villa player and manager Roberts took over at The Crick in July 2020.

He joined the Steelmen from New Brighton, where he had spent the previous four seasons as manager along with his duties of managing the North East Wales team.
