The 2018-19 FAW Under-16 Girls Cup winners Penrhyn Bay face an exciting away tie at Rhyl side NFA in the second round of this season’s national knockout being played this weekend.
With no competition held last season, Penrhyn are still technically the holders of the cup and showed they are in no mood to loosen their grip on the trophy in beating Bethel 10-0 in Sunday’s first round tussle at Conwy Borough.
Now comes another test in the shape of NFA, who overcame Airbus 4-0 in their opening round battle at the weekend.
In the other all-North Wales tie, Caernarfon Town, 2-0 victors at new side Bangor 1876 on Sunday, host Northop Hall, whose star striker Annie Small notched all six goals in her team’s 6-4 success against Brickfield.
All round two ties take place this Sunday, April 18.
The draw means two North Wales teams are guaranteed a place in the quarter-finals.
