Llio Meleri Jones had a great comeback season with Pwlllheli women in 2019-20.
With no competitive North Wales women’s football being played in 2020-21, the left-winger, who is 27 on Tuesday, cannot wait for the start of next season.
In the meantime, Llio has kindly become the subject of Grassroots North Wales’ latest Female Focus 2021.

Pwllheli Ladies FC
Playing football every playtime at primary school, falling in love with sport and started playing for Pwllheli Ladies FC when I was 9 years old.
Aaron Ramsey, class player and he encourages the Welsh language on social media!!
Anywhere, but left wing mainly! Used to play defence back in the day.
Travelling to Dublin and Isle of Man to play against teams from there! Was a good experience.
Not a highlight as such but having the confidence to get back into playing footy again. The girls at Pwllheli Ladies have been very welcoming. And met Ryan Giggs last year at school.
Coleg Llandrillo, North Wales Under-16’s
Endurance & speed
Maybe running too much?!?
Everyone at Pwllheli Ladies FC!
In North Wales football, definitely Erica Jones – she has done so much for Pwllhelli Ladies FC over the years and is still as hardworking as ever for the club.
Hayley Rees Williams definitely!! She’s hilarious!
Leanne! Bringing it back to dawnsio disgo days with the Urdd!
Haven’t played many games as I have only just started to play footy again. Hockey is my main sport and I decided to join again to help the girls out with numbers in games. Enjoyed it and decided to stay.
Just to carry on playing for as long as possible and to ensure that women’s football and other sport for that matter, get the same recognition and attention as the men’s football.
Canada
Kinder Bueno or mini eggs – hard to decide, love chocolate!
Not the best at watching films, tend to sleep halfway through! Enjoyed The Peanut Butter Falcon last night, such a sweet film.
I prefer older songs to the new ones that are out at the moment. Can range from classic RnB, indie, pop and danc. I can’t decide!
My star sign is Pisces. I can be too sensitive at times and I’d like to think that I’m a creative person.
Hard to choose, The Office U.S or It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
Hard to answer, if I don’t like the program I just won’t watch it 🤣
I’m hard working and would do anything to help anyone in any situation.
Bit of a cliché but I’m a perfectionist. I have to do something right the first time otherwise it will annoy me!
Was accepted by Swansea University to do a 2 year Paramedic degree but my passion for sport won and I decided to pursue the Teachers Training course at Bangor University to be a PE teacher.
