My North Wales women’s football dream team: Fflur Williams (CPD Bethel)

The 10th player to select her All-Time North Wales Women’s Football XI is Bethel striker Fflur Williams.

She follows Chelsea Evans (Northop Hall), Abby Williams (Airbus), Gwenno Gibbard Bolton (Bethel), Lexi Crawley (Amlwch), Claire Colville (Llandudno), Cerys Gadd (Amlwch), Libby McClelland (NFA), Meinir Thomas (Amlwch) and Erica Jones (Pwllheli) in the selection seat.

GOALKEEPER

Becky Elliott

Very good awareness on the pitch, and have seen some amazing saves by her over the couple of years that I have played with her.

DEFENDERS

Cara Wyn Hughes

Very fast player and not frightened to get stuck into challenges. Got a great right foot.

Jemila Bukari

One of the nicest players on and off the pitch. And a top quality defender all round

Kelly Jones (Bethel)

Always a nightmare to play against in training. Very good player who is always eager to motivate the team.

MIDFIELD

Anna Jones

Played with her at Llandudno, great footwork and a very skilful player.

Ffion Owen

One of the best players in the league for sure. And literally scores goals for fun. Would not like to be a defender against her.

Anest Roberts

Anest Roberts takes a free kick for Bethel

Just started playing with her recently at Bethel, but a player who is very football-minded, skillful and she is never selfish on the ball.

Aimee Todd

She’s a player that always lifts the team spirit and motivates others to perform well. Never stops running. An individual who makes me want to improve my own performance. Has played for Cardiff Met as well as Llandudno Junction and Llandudno.

STRIKERS

Charley Smith

We are team-mates within the Bangor University team. Very fast player and always got an eye for goal. Always a laugh on and off the pitch.

Erin Maloney

She is always creating chances and scoring goals. Reads the game well and has the ability to use both feet.

Mari Gibbard

Mari Gibbard (yellow)

Very hard working player that gives 100% all of the time. Has to be one of the best players I’ve played alongside. Definitely a danger in front of goal.
