Who are the two mystery Manchester United fans from the Arfon-Dwyfor area in this photograph ?
That is the question Grassroots North Wales wants to ask its readers.
Site contributor and friend Mark Jones has very kindly provided this pictorial poser on the evening United are battling for Champions League survival in Leipzig.
The front cover of the Manchester United v Everton programme for the First Division match played between the teams on September 2, 1978, featured a very interesting photograph.
Before the first game of the season a couple of weeks previously, Utd invited fans from all their official Supporters Clubs to parade on the pitch before the teams came out.
Walking out in alphabetical order, among the first were these two lads from the Arfon-Dwyfor branch.
Can anyone on GNW tell us who they are? They would be nudging 70 now. This picture was taken 42 years ago.
Do they still go to OT, were they involved in local football at any level? Would be good to know.

PS – a Manchester United match programme in 1978 cost just 15p. These days, one will set you back £3.50.
