Nicky Williams (Plas Madoc to FC Queen’s Park)

Wrexham area goal king Nicky Williams is a massive signing for tier 4 North East Wales League Premier Division club Queen’s Park.

Williams first truly made his mark back in 2011-12 when he was top scorer for an FC Cefn side which won the Welsh National League Premier Division title.

A tough, talented striker, he signed for Acrefair in 2012-13 before joining then reigning WNL Premier champions Chirk AAA the following season.

He helped Chirk reach the 2013-14 FAW Trophy Final, where the Colliers lost 3-2 to Llanrug United.

The 2014-15 season brought an exciting new chapter for Williams when he put pen to paper for newly-formed Cefn Albion.

The team won four trophies, including the North East Wales League title, and Williams amassed 59 goals in all competitions.

More success followed in 2015-16 as Williams was in the Albion squad which scooped the WNL Division One title at the first attempt.

Williams returned to Chirk AAA in 2016-17 and enjoyed more glory as the WNL Premier outfit beat Penlan Club 2-1 in the FAW Trophy Final.

In 2017-18, Williams joined new side Plas Madoc, bagging in excess of 50 goals as the Wrexham team were crowned North East Wales League champions.

Just like he had done previously with Cefn, Williams made it back-to-back titles with Plas as they finished top of WNL Division One in 2018-19.

He remained with Madoc during the curtailed 2019-20 season, but sadly the club recently disbanded.

Now this much-celebrated goal machine faces another challenge in 2020-21 with FC Queen’s Park.

Miles Todd (Llannefydd to CPD Y Rhyl 1879)

Experienced defender, 32, joins newly-formed 1879 from Llannefydd.

A former North Wales Coast FA representative, Todd has previously played in the second-tier of Welsh football.

1879 manager Gareth Thomas said: “I’m delighted to get Miles in. He will benefit the young squad with his experience having played Cymru Alliance with both Buckley Town and Denbigh Town.”

Jordan Dooley (Chirk Town to Corwen)

Jordan Dooley

Former Llangollen Town player who progressed through the Youth set up before joining Chirk AAA and Acrefair for short spells.

Re-signed for Llangollen in June 2011 and marked his return with a second half hat-trick against Glynceiriog on his second debut.

Dooley is a strong powerful front runner with a good turn of pace.

Part of Chirk Town’s championship-winning squad in their debut season of 2019-20, he now steps up in class at Corwen.

Sebastian Czubaj (Caerwys to Saltney Town)

Seb Czubaj

Following his release from Caerwys FC, goalkeeper Seb is the latest to commit to the Bordermen.

The former Mold Alex keeper joins having enjoyed the early training and set up.

He said: “I’m so excited to be joining the club and I’m looking forward to the season. I’ve enjoyed training so far with such a well coordinated team.”

Keegan Jakovlevs (to FC Queen’s Park)

A no-nonsense powerful centre half whose former clubs include Plas Madoc and Cefn Albion.

Will add some genuine steel to the Park defence.

Ryan Potts (to Rhuddlan Town)

Versatile player Potts is a welcome addition to Wayne Hughes’ side, who were crowned Vale of Clwyd and Conwy Premier Division champions last term.

Manager Hughes said: “Ryan has looked great in training and we’re looking forward to seeing him play for the club.”

Josh Edwards (to FC Queen’s Park)

With Park losing long-time first choice keeper Joey Jones to Cymru Premier side Caernarfon Town this season, the Wrexham side have been seeking a strong replacement.

The man they have signed up needs no introduction on the local scene.

Josh ‘Jacko’ Edwards is a first class shot stopper and a man who will be challenging hard to take over Joey’s No 1 shirt.

Elliot Evans (Mold Alex to CPD Y Rhyl 1879)

Elliot is a former youth player with Connah’s Quay Nomads who will be looking to make an impact at Rhyl after agreeing to move from Mold Alex.

The young tenacious midfielder will bring masses of energy and quality to the 1879 squad.

Joe Johnson (Hawarden Rangers to Saltney Town)

Joe Johnson

Johnson has agreed to join Saltney following his release from Hawarden Rangers.

Another exciting prospect to add to the attacking talent the Bordermen possess.

Johnson said: “I’m really happy and excited to be joining Saltney. We seem to have a very solid squad for the upcoming season, and I’m buzzing to be a part of it.”

Tommy Hutchings (to FC Queen’s Park)

Quality defender who can also play anywhere along the back.

Great lad with a fantastic attitude, he is expected to shine for the Wrexham side.
