Waunfawr (blue) and Llangoed in action

Gwynedd League

Waunfawr celebrated a 4-1 win at home to Llangoed in the Gwynedd League Bob Owen Memorial Trophy second round.

Meurig Parry struck twice for the Beganifs, Jac Evans and Dylan Hughes also on the mark, Wayne Thomas replying with a wind-assisted effort for Llangoed for his 21st goal of the season.

All other Gwynedd League games were off.

North East Wales League

Chirk Town defeated Penyffordd Lions 2-0 in the Horace Wynne Cup.

Tom Freeman broke the deadlock on 22 minutes and Naz Farhat added a decisive second after 50.

All other matches postponed.

Anglesey League

Just the one game went ahead – but it was a six-goal thriller.

Bodorgan produced a brilliant performance to salvage a 3-3 draw against Arriva Bangor at Treborth.

The ‘home’ side (the fixture was switched to 3G) Bodorgan were 2-0 down, got back to 2-2, conceded in the 88th minute, but grabbed an equaliser on 90.

Connor Rees notched all three for Bodorgan, Scott Hughes (2) and Dylan Jones for the Busmen.
