Llysfaen FC is far more than just a football club – it is a friend of the community too.
All members of the club – including the men’s, women’s and junior teams – joined forces last week to gather donations for a local food bank.
One of the organisers, ladies team assistant-manager Amy Conway-Williams, said: “We managed to collect 15 bags in one week. It’s been great for the junior players to be involved.
“Our local food banks are in desperate need of donations and there are so many people who need their help. Times are hard for lots of people.
“It was great that as a club we could give something back to our local community.
“Today members of the men’s, ladies and junior teams took the food donations to Llandudno food bank.
“We are going to do this as a regular thing and we are going to invite any other teams who are playing at our football grounds in Llysfaen to donate too.”
