Holyhead Hotspur Reserves delivered another dynamic display as they hammered local rivals Holyhead Town 6-0 in the Anglesey League Dargie Cup.
Reserves manager Tom Scott said it was probably the team’s “most complete performance of the season”.
“The lads followed instructions down to a tee. It’s been really hard lately not training and working on things due to Millbank (damaged all-weather surface) being shut, but I cannot fault the lads’ attitude and performance. Passing sequences were brilliant at times.
“Confidence is back in the lads and a special mention to Alex Hebenstreit. He’s waited patiently all season for his chance, not moaned once, worked hard and scored a great first goal.”
Scott netted twice himself, with Casey Gregg, Coby Doutch, Hebenstreit and an own goal making up the six.
Also in the Dargie, Cemaes Bay recorded a 2-0 win at CPD Y Fali, Ryan Folksman and Steve Whittaker on the mark.
Joining them in the next round are Llanfairpwll, who had Matty James to thank for a last-gasp winner in a 4-3 result at Arriva Bangor.
Jack Davies, Kieran Williams and Adam Thomas also netted for the visitors. No goalscorers were supplied by the hosts,
