Nefyn dedicated their win to the great Eifion Parry

The home side dedicated this emphatic victory over high-flying Gwynedd League rivals to their late secretary Eifion Parry, who passed away recently.

Eifion would have been highly impressed at the way his beloved Penwaig cruised to a 4-0 win, rising up to third in the process.

Steve Jones, Carl Jones, Llyr Williams and Tomos Jones each scored a goal apiece for the Cae’r Delyn outfit.

Considering Blaenau had lost 11-1 at home to Denbigh Town seven days earlier, Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Maes Dulyn represents a fine result.

The Quarrymen had also been beaten 4-3 at home by Nantlle at the start of the month, making the outcome of the return clash against a team six places above them in Welsh Alliance Division One a marked improvement.

Aaron Thomas handed Vale a half time lead, but Joe Dukes levelled in the 75th minute.

Without a league point since early September, and on a run of eight straight defeats, this was a very commendable result for Amlwch.

Ryan Rowlands gave the Anglesey side an early lead with his 18th goal of the season, and although Elgan Roberts equalised on 59 minutes and Town were forced to do a lot of defending, they held on for a cracking draw.

Not only did Denbigh leapfrog their opponents into top spot in the Welsh Alliance Reserves Division with this victory at Y Traeth, they did it by achieving a very rare away win for a visiting team at champions Porthmadog.

Andrew Thomas (2, 1 pen) and Lewis Jenner shared the Denbigh goals, Arwyn Jones and Cameron Jones replying for the hosts.

A tremendous result for Cefni in the second round of the Anglesey League Lucas Oil Cup.

The home side celebrated a 3-1 success over opponents with a great away record this season.

Marc Parry, Lee Lewis and Kyle Williams nabbed the Cefni goals, Mike Edwards for the visitors.
