North West Wales Netball League: Comets and Jets play out a real thriller

Thundercats stormed to victory in Division Two

There was a true Clash of the Titans in Division One of the North West Wales Netball League between the Jets and Comets this week.

Jets led after the first quarter only to lose pace a little in the second. Comets had clawed themselves a six-goal lead and went into the second half looking strong.

In the third quarter, Jets fought hard to bring it back to 27-27 entering the last.

However, the Comets had the edge in the final 13 minutes and took the win back to Colwyn Bay 36-31.

Jets GS and Comets GK both took players of the match which shows the effort and determination from the pair inside Jets attacking circle.

In Division Two, there was a huge “Thunder-storm” as Menai Thunder and Thundercats battled it out. Cats led from the first quarter and kept their strength all the way through to claim the 40-24 victory.

It was the mid-court players shining in this game with the two centres taking PoM.

Thunderkittens were involved in a good contest with St Asaph Strikes in Division Three.

There was a gallant effort by the Kittens, winning the second and fourth quarters 8-7 and 7-6 respectively. Unfortunately it wasn’t quite enough and St Asaph Strikes were victorious 40-30.
