FAW Trophy round five draw

Denbigh Town have landed a plum home clash with 2018 finalists Rhos Aelwyd in the pick of the ties from tonight’s fifth round FAW Trophy draw.

Welsh Alliance Division One leaders Town saw off Nefyn United 5-1 at the weekend, while Rhos knocked out Gaerwen 4-2.

Revenge may be on the minds of Holyhead Hotspur after they landed a visit to Llanrwst United in the last 16. In a recent Welsh Alliance Division One meeting between the teams, the Rwsters whipped the Holy Islanders 5-1 at home.

However, back in 2011-12, Hotspur defeated Llanrwst 3-1 in the semi-finals of the Trophy thanks to a Mel McGinness hat-trick.

In an attractive prospect at Penygroes, Welsh Alliance Division One outfit Nantlle Vale host Welsh National League Premier Division high-flyers Brymbo.

And Llandudno Albion can expect a tough battle at Berriew, who eliminated Lex XI 7-0 on Saturday.
