Gwynedd and Anglesey League Football round-ups: November 9

Gwynedd League

Leaders Trearddur Bay Bulls needed a late equaliser from Tom Hadley to salvage a 2-2 draw from their home crunch clash with Nefyn United.

Dylan Sion Jones handed the Penwaig an early lead, but Hadley levelled before half time.

Gethin Trenholme made it 2-1 to Nefyn on 65 minutes, then the visitors had Tomos Llewelyn Jones dismissed before Hadley restored parity in the closing stages.

Second-place Menai Bridge Tigers fought back from two-down to win 3-2 at Waunfawr.

Adam Jones and Guto Llywelyn put the Beganifs 2-0 ahead at half time, but after the turnaround goals from Kelvin Frazer, Callum Davidson and man of the match Kev Roberts swung things the Anglesey side’s way.

Llanystumdwy thrashed Glantraeth 5-1, Mark Godfrey, Gethin Owen, Sion Pierce and Darren Parry (2) sharing the home tally, Rhys Griffiths (pen) responding.

Jac Thomas (2) and Connor Jones led Bro Goronwy to a 3-1 success over Caergybi, Nathan Lewis for the visitors, and Llangoed whipped Ogwen Tigers 5-1 away, Llion Roberts (2), Sam Gregson (2) and Matty Owen making up the away total, Ryan Hughes for the hosts.

Bontnewydd claimed the spoils 5-1 at Bethesda Athletic, Morgan Roberts (3, 1 pen), Tomos Jones and Josh Roberts chalking up the winners’ haul, Andy Clarke having brought Pesda back on terms at one stage in the first half.

Anglesey League

Cefni began the uphill task of recouping 18 deducted points for fielding an ineligible player in six matches this season with a well-earned 1-0 home victory over CPD Y Fali.

Macauley Lewis notched the only goal for the bottom team.

Llanfairpwll were 2-0 home winners over Bodorgan, Adam Thomas and Elliot Jones the scorers.

On Friday night, leaders Cemaes Bay thumped Llandegfan 9-2, Steve Whittaker (2), Keenan Downey (2), Luke McKittrick, Nick Owen, Todd Cusick, Tam Morton and Dafydd Jones splitting the home goals, David Parry and Nathan Harris replying.

All other games were off.
