Centuries from Dan Evans and Matthew Jones inspired Llandudno to a thumping victory which put them into the Welsh Cup quarter-finals.
After winning the toss and electing to bat at The Oval, Tudno rattled up a massive 347-4 off 40 overs, Evans and Jones putting on 140 for the second wicket.
Fresh from his century at Pontblyddyn in the league on Saturday, Evans cracked 121 off just 73 balls, hitting 16 fours and three sixes. Jones’ 101 not out came off 96 deliveries and included 12 boundaries and two maximums.
Skipper Luke Kenworthy added 45 and Sam Rimmington 39 for the home side, the latter forming a 93 stand with Evans for the first wicket.
In reply, Denbigh slumped to 51-4 before a fifth-wicket combination of 148 between Sam Lewis and Andy Thomas gave them hope.
Tom Thornton did the trick by removing both, Thomas for 64 and Lewis just five short of a ton.
Denbigh finished 232 all out, Thornton notching 4-44 and Evans completing a great match with 2-19.
The other northern ‘semi-final’ between Colwyn Bay and Mochdre is scheduled for next Sunday, July 7.
