Mark Jat has been re-appointed manager of Llanrug United for the 2019-20 season.
Jat returns to a club he originally joined as part of the management team during summer 2013, initially as assistant to manager Aled Owen, and in his first season ‘Rug won the coveted FAW Trophy.
Following Owen’s resignation, Jat took the manager’s seat in 2015/2016. During his three seasons at the helm United finished a creditable fifth, third and third in Welsh Alliance Division One and won the Mawddach Cup in May 2017.
Llanrug chairman Emyr Pritchard commented: “I am as everybody else is at Llanrug United delighted that Mark has returned and agreed to be our manager. He was a very valuable asset for the club for a long period and is very highly respected. He will be a tremendous asset to us again as a manager.”
Jat said: “I am delighted and very proud to have the opportunity to return as manager of Llanrug United. I have a lot of friends at the club, they are a truly friendly and superb club.
“The club officials, management and the supporters were excellent to me for many seasons, I owe them a lot. We have a few exciting youngsters in our squad and I look forward to the new season.”

Jonathan Peris Jones (assistant-manager)
Joined United as a player from Holyhead Hotspur in November 2012, has Welsh Premier League experience with Porthmadog.
Jonathan was appointed as an assistant-manager for the first team in June 2018. Previous clubs: Porthmadog, UWIC, Caernarfon Town, Llangefni Town, Glantraeth and Holyhead Hotspur.
Dylan Owen (assistant-manager)
Affectionately known as ‘Midge’, a dynamic experienced midfielder who was a young professional at Wrexham.
Dylan was released from the Racecourse in December 2003 and joined his hometown club Caernarfon Town.
In June 2006 he moved on to Rhyl and in May 2007 signed for Llangefni Town and then in August 2009 re-joined Caernarfon Town.
Moved to Llanrug United in August 2012, and had a brief spell away at Nantlle Vale from July 2017 until his return to Eithin Duon in December 2017. Previous clubs: Wrexham, Caernarfon Town, Rhyl and Llangefni Town.
Steve Smith (assistant-manager)
A well respected and an experienced manager and coach, who has Welsh Premier League experience with Porthmadog as a player.
Steve was manager of Caernarfon Town in November 2010 until January 2012, and has had several roles since at his hometown club Porthmadog.
