NEWFA Challenge Cup First Round draw made

The draw for the First Round of the North East Wales Senior Challenge Cup has been made.

The Second Qualifying Round ties were played midweek, three of the four sides are now confirmed to be into the First Round proper.

Following the First Round we’ll see the introduction of sides from the Novira Cymru North and Lock Stock Ardal Northern Leagues along with four sides who have made their way through the opening stages.

CPD Yr Wyddgrug will look to reach the First Round proper for the first time since their formation in 2023, but need to overcome Coedpoeth United away from home.

Saltney Town and Holywell United will clash at the Dragon Steel Stadium and Acton meet Aston Park Rangers.

The Second Qualifying Round tie between Chirk and Greenfield will determin who will host Hawarden Rangers.
