Big capture for Penycae of a prolific marksman from fellow Ardal North East side Cefn Albion.
Since the 2019-20 season, Williams has chalked up 122 goals for Albion, but having played for the club in previous seasons, his total is probably 200+.
Penycae manager Dan Richards said: “Over the moon that Alex has decided to join the club. It’s well known he’s one of the top strikers in the Wrexham area, no doubt he will be a huge asset for the club, not only his goals but also his character and leadership qualities. Alex has scored double figure numbers at this level year on year and we hope he can continue to do that for us for the seasons ahead.”
Attack-minded central midfield player, aged 24, who joins Penycae from Central Wales League North side Four Crosses.
Dawson previously also represented Brickfield Rangers, Gresford Athletic and Cefn Druids.
After spells with Gresford and Cefn Druids, Dawson signed for Brickfield at the start of 2021-22.
Made 115 first team appearances for Brickie, notching 11 goals, winning the Ardal North East League title in 2024-25.

Former Penycae captain returns to the club from local neighbours Cefn Albion.
The 31-year-old will add defensive steel and great experience to a young squad. Operating as a holding midfield player or a central defender, he will give great options to the management team at Afoneitha Road..

Having worked with Josh before I know exactly what he brings to the table with both his onfield attributes and his offield leadership qualities. Highly rated goalkeeper switches clubs in Ardal North East. joining Cefn Albion after spending the past three seasons at Builth Wells where he made 98 league and cup appearances.
Previously with Ardal South East club Goytre AFC, Rhayader Town and Newtown.
Joins Albion from Ruthin Town, for whom he made seven Cymru North appearances last season.
Previously represented Connah’s Quay Nomads Under-16s in the FAW Academy League.
Aged 22, Josh is an electric forward with pace to burn who has also turned out for Altrincham and Burscough.
Technical midfielder who had a stint with Cymru North club CPD Y Rhyl 1879 last season.
Made 10 brief substitute appearances for the Lilywhites, also gaining game time with the reserves.
Originally from Poland, Oliwier played for The New Saints in the FAW Academy League as a schoolboy.
Spent last season on loan at Ruthin Town, making 28 appearances.
He arrives at Buckley having built a formidable reputation through the Airbus Academy system, where his development and performances marked him out as one of the standout young defenders in the region. A former captain of their U21 side, he already shows leadership qualities and standards. He also made nine first team appearances for the Wingmakers.
Standing over 6ft, Dougherty is a modern, ball-playing centre half who combines physical presence with real quality in possession.
Comfortable stepping into midfield, he loves to carry the ball out from the back and has the ability to dribble, turn and break lines in a way that gives his team a different dimension.
Arrives at The Globe with valuable experience gained overseas after spending time in the Czech Republic – an opportunity that has helped develop both his game and his understanding of different styles of football.
A powerful and dynamic forward, Josh brings versatility across the attacking line and is capable of operating anywhere across the front three. His physical presence, work rate and ability to stretch defences will give Buckley another exciting dimension going forward.
Prior to his spell abroad, Josh also gained experience with clubs including Redditch United and Worcester City, adding further quality and experience to his game.
After four seasons at Gresford Athletic, where he made 128 appearances, Johnson makes the switch to fellow Cymru North side Buckley, where he reunites with former boss Dave Evans.
Also previously with Saltney Town and Prestatyn Town.
Central midfielder Johnson boasts a huge amount of experience and leadership qualities that will add real value both on and off the pitch. He knows the Cymru North inside out and understands exactly what is required to compete at this level.

Back with Buckley after spending last season at Denbigh Town, where he made 25 appearances.
Began last season at Buckley, where he had been since 2021-22, and has made 106 club appearances in total.
This 26-year-olds also previously wore the colours of Llandudno in the Cymru North.
Central half, aged 23, who brings plenty of Cymru North experience to The Globe having made 32 appearances for Gresford Athletic last season and prior to that played for Llandudno and Airbus UK Broughton.

At his most prolific with Lex XI, where he has netted 40 goals in various spells since the 2021-22 season.
Was with the Lawmen last season and before that had stints with Acton, Prestatyn Town, CPD Y Rhyl 1879 and Brickfield Rangers.

With him playing Tier 3 last season and ex clubs including Rhyl and Prestatyn just shows the standard we have set at Meliden and the ambition we have here. He brings vast experience to the table and has already notched a few goals in pre season for us. He’s vital to get us our goals that we’ve set this season and I can’t wait to see him smash this season for us.”
After beginning last season at Meliden, Ellam joined Tier 4 club Y Glannau when the Miners temporarily folded.
Apart from spending the 2023-24 campaign at Abergele in the North Wales Coast East Premier, this midfield general has been Meliden through and through, making 60 appearances since 2021-22.

A genuine playmaker in the middle of the park, Brady has what it takes to be a great success at Ffordd Ty Newydd.

Spent last season in Tier 3 with NFA while Meliden took a break from football.
Now the Miners are back, Ross is keen to get on board.
Has scored 16 goals in 67 appearances for the club.
Management team member Scott Stewart said: “I’ve seen Macca evolve over the years into one of the most talented players The Mine has ever seen. He oozes quality on the ball and is deadly in front of goal. A proper forward.
“He’s pacey, direct and makes defenders wish they had stayed at home. Macca won’t look out of place one bit and I’m delighted he’s back in orange and black where he belongs.”
Also at NFA last season, but a regular with the Under-21 side.
Played for Prestatyn Town Development before signing for Meliden at the start of 2023-24.

Having shared the pitch with Rio multiple times in the past for Meliden, I know exactly what he brings us in terms of quality and hard graft when on the pitch. He’s someone I know will give 110% all the time and his attitude is perfect for what we’re looking to achieve in the future at Meliden. Rio is someone who’s talent just keeps growing and at such a young age he’ll definitely be a force for us this season and hopefully many more to come in the future.”
A versatile defender at junior grassroots level, Dutton will make his senior debut for The Miners this season,
James Sweetman: “Jamie’s composure is unbelievable, for such a young lad his willingness to learn and his reading of the game is brilliant. To having coached him as a young footballer in grassroots I know all about Jamie’s qualities, a versatile defensive-minded player who can play anywhere across the back from CB to both sides at full back and can also step into the midfield if we require, I’m really excited to see Jamie grow in to the men’s game and watch him enjoy his football playing with The Miners.”
Spent two seasons with Meliden before the club disbanded temorarily for the 2025-26 campaign.
Defensive-mided 24-year-old with plenty to offer this coming term.
Scott Stewart: “H is someone who’s been around Meliden for a few years now and is already proving yet again how big a part he plays in our squad. He’s a versatile player across the back line and is an asset to have at Meliden. Let’s hope he can stay injury free for two weeks on the bounce at some point this season.”
Attack minded and willing to push forward, Hughes can be become a pivotal figure in the season ahead.
Scott Stewart “Can’t speak highly enough of KJ ever since he first joined Meliden a couple of seasons ago – he’ll give his all in any training session or game and as well as effort, he also has the quality to back it up. KJ’s vital in what’s being built here at Meliden going forward and he really has no ceiling.”
With the ability to play anywhere and having played for Llanrwst United, Glan Conwy and Bro Cernyw, this man will be a great player wherever you need him.
Richard Hillier-Evans: “Me and Luke have talked about playing together for a few years now and after some great battles over the years I was made up when he finally said yes to coming over, with some great experience in Tier 3 at Llanrwst and Tier 4 with Glan Conwy, he’s going to be a great asset to this squad.”
