It’s the big one! Winner-takes-all in next Sunday’s promotion play-off between champions Llangefni Town and Wrexham Foresters

Llangefni Town and Wrexham Foresters will meet in a promotion play-off next weekend to decide which team plays in Tier 2 Adran North next season.

North Wales Coast League champions Cefni and Central Wales North title-winners Foresters will go head-to-head at Maes Tegid, Bala, next Sunday, May 31, kick-off 2.30 pm.

Both sides won their respective Tier 3 leagues this season with unbeaten records.

Foresters won 17 and drew one of their 18 matches, while Cefni finished with a slate of 15 victories and a draw.

The finalists are renowned for their free-scoring and particularly tight defences, with Town conceding just 7 goals in their 16 league games and Foresters a mere 6 in 18.

Foresters are player-managed by England futsal international and former Connah’s Quay Nomads midfield ace Kirstie Kural, who has scored a remarkable 64 goals this season.

Llangefni’s top-scorer this term was Amber Brown, a young forward with great ability, while other quality players include multi title-winning central operator Ffion Owen and defensive colossus Beth Jones.

The Wrexham side also have the up front might of Anna Thomas and Savannah Miller to call on, that pair having bagged 68 goals between them this term.
