Bob Brodie Trophy: Can Asa Thomas become a three-time winner in his final game of the season?

Asa Thomas needs to score three times in CPD Boded’s final game of the season on Saturday at home to Bontnewydd to win the Bob Brodie Trophy for a record third time.

The Ynys Môn legend, who has netted a North Wales senior record 756 goals, struck twice for Boded in Tuesday night’s 4-0 win at Llanberis to edge him up to 32 for the current season.

That puts him two behind Trearddur Bay’s Tom Hilditch in the Bob Brodie Trophy, which recognises the top goalscorer in Anglesey senior football every season.

Thomas previously won the competition in 2022-23 and 2023-24. In the 2010-11 campaign, before the Brodie Trophy began, he amassed 112 goals.

The battle to win the 2025-26 Bob Brodie will again go down to the last game as it did last season, when Connor Owen of Gwalchmai and Cemaes Bay’s Luke McGivern finished level with 33 goals apiece.

Here is the current Bob Brodie Trophy table up to and including Tuesday, May 19, 2026
