LOCK STOCK ARDAL NORTH EAST – REPORTS MARCH 28

Penycae 3 Bow Street 1

Zac Davies (sky blue) takes on the Bow Street defence

A superb win for Penycae over a Bow Street outfit lying second in the table before the start.
An evenly contested first half saw few opportunities for either side to break the deadlock.
Penycae took the lead in the 54th minute through Zac Davies’ 22nd goal of the season.
The visitors responded soon after, with Joseph Wozencraft heading home from a corner to level the score.
Thomas Blaze restored the home advantage in style, producing a superb piece of skill to fire home a spectacular volley.
Substitute Josh Mazzarella then made an immediate impact, finishing from a tight angle to seal a 3–1 victory and secure all three points

Corwen 2 Llandrindod Wells 1

Henry Evans was a two-goal hero in this home victory for Corwen.
The deadlock was broken as early as the seventh minute, when the hosts started a move with a quickly taken throw-in.
A series of short passes led to James Rainbird playing the ball to Evans, who had found some space before unleashing a brilliant shot from the corner of the box, which curled high into the net
No further score before half time, but Llandrindod started the second period strongly, Samed De Groot forcing Evan Parry into a fine save and the rebound was put wide.
On 65 minutes, Jack Evans curled a free kick from near the touchline into the Corwen box, where Stuart Williams collected and fired home to level the scores.
Corwen thought they had a second when Henry Evans’ cross appeared to be heading for the net, but a defender cleared off the line.
Evans enjoyed better fortune on 75 minutes when his brilliant free kick whistled between the posts.
Late on, Corwen won the ball from a Llandrindod corner and launched it forward to Tom Williams, who ran into an almost deserted away half but his shot was saved by James Barker.

Dolgellau Athletic 1 CPD Rhos Aelwyd 0

Captain and top-scorer Gerwyn Williams scored a 94th minute winner for Dolgellau to bring his season’s total to 28 goals.
Aaron Young provided the all-important assist for the decider, the result seeing Dol in fourth place.
Rhos Aelwyd sub Harley Davies was sent off in the 89th minute for a second yellow card.

Kerry 2 Builth Wells 2

Neil Mitchell’s 92nd minute strike rescued a point for Kerry.
The home side opened the scoring in the very first minute through Steffan Rogers, but Builth turned things around through Seth Bridgeman and Gavin Samuel before half time.
No further goals arrived until that late leveller from the experienced Mitchell.

Knighton Town 4 Cefn Albion 0

Knighton rose back up to second thanks to a Luke Boundford double which put him on 29 goals this term and further net-finders from Taylor Wozencraft and Adam Farmer.
Albion had Leighton Kendrick red-carded in the 83rd minute.

Lex XI 0 Llangollen Town 2

William Cooke and Paige Wilding supplied the second half goals which earned Llangollen a sixth win in seven outings.

Radnor Valley 4 Llanfair United 2

Jack Clarke (2. 1 pen), Ieuan Price and Lewis Morris split the goals for winners Radnor Valley.
Llanfair’s replies came via Tomos Jones and a Price own goal. United’s Toby Roberts was shown a red card in the 77th minute.
