Bangor ended their 2025-26 league programme on a high with a victory which clinched a North Wales double in Powys on a super Sunday.

On top of Wrexham being crowned Adran Premier champions, Gogledd Cymru also celebrated a pair of great results in Adran North with Felinheli thrashing runners-up Llanfair 4-1 and Bangor’s success at Berriew Recreation Ground.

Although Bangor will finish bottom of Adran North, it is believed there will be no relegation from the seven-team league this season.

While the team’s position looks disappointing, they have been unlucky at times not to pick up more points and their overall performances, with a lot of new players being bedded in, have been very encouraging.

Captain Ffion Bee said: “This season has definitely been a challenging one for us. A lot of change happened for us both on and off the field. We’ve been unlucky with our results but our performances have been great- we’ve given every team a battle and put everything out on the field so to end with a win felt really good. It showed us that despite everything we deserve to be in this league.

Hopefully we can use this win to motivate and push us in our (North Wales Coast Challenge Cup) semi-final against lLandudno (on April 15).”

Both Bangor goals at Berriew came in the first half.

In the 10th minute, Milly Lowe was fouled out wide and Holly Owen-Roberts’ free kick floated into the net.

On 39 minutes new signing Lowe notched her first goal for the Citizens following her joining from Llangefni Town.

A Mia Roberts cross caused panic in the home defence and Lowe pounced to fire home.

Berriew were unable to reply until the 90th minute when Catrin Hopkins bagged a consolation.
