Meilir Williams delivered his sixth hat-trick of the season as Llanuwchllyn not only scored 10 goals, but also moved 10 points clear at the Ardal North East summit.
The leaders’ game against bottom side Lex was the only fixture to go ahead in the league on a day where the recent heavy rainfall continued to play havoc with the North Wales football programme.
Williams, uncharacteristically, had only scored once in his previous four matches, but was back on fire in his latest engagement which saw his tally for the season rise to 36 goals from 23 games.
It was Williams who inflicted the early damage for Sion Tudor’s side, finding the net after just four minutes from a Gwydion Roberts assist before converting an 18th minute penalty.
Tomos Evans made it three on 36 minutes, assisted by Dale Davies, who added a fourth with 40 on the clock before William Owen also netted before the break, Aled Parry the supplier for the latter two goals.
Williams completed his treble three minutes into the second half via another spot-kick, then a Reece Jones own goal only added to Lex’s woes.
John Evans was next on the scoresheet with 68 gone, Ilan Hughes with the assist.
Davies then struck again with his 14th of the season and eighth in his last eight outings for 9-0, Roberts setting him up.
And double figures was reached in the 90th minute when Williams turned provider for Gwydion Ifan to round off the scoring.
